The 4th China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo officially commenced on June 12, 2025, at the Changsha International Conference Center in Changsha, Hunan Province. Foreign Minister Wang Yi delivered remarks at the Opening Ceremony.

The opening ceremony featured the theme "China and Africa: Together Toward Modernization," emphasizing collaborative efforts toward shared development goals. Attendees included representatives from over 30,000 participants spanning 53 African nations, 11 international organizations, 27 Chinese provinces and municipalities, and more than 4,700 enterprises, financial institutions, and business associations. Following the ceremony, delegates engaged in enthusiastic exchanges and networking activities.
